It can hone in on your subjects in as little as 0.06 seconds, and its 179 phase detection points produce impressive coverage across the image. It also lets you shoot up to 11 photos per second so that you can capture your favorite sporting and fast-moving moments.Īll this means that this Sony Alpha a6000 mirrorless digital camera needs to have an ultra-fast autofocus, and the camera doesn't disappoint. This Sony digital camera takes photos using its 24.3-megapixel Exmor sensor, and the BIONZ X image processing produces impressive color and outstanding clarity even when the ISO is ramped up to 25,600. It's ultralight thanks to its mirrorless camera design, which means it'sthinner and easier to carry than a traditional DSLR, and it has all the performance characteristics of a standard crop-sensor DSLR, including a range ofcontrol options that let you alter shutter speed, aperture and ISO within moments. Powerful imagery is all yours with this Sony Alpha a6000 mirrorless digital camera. I suspect Sony didn't want to make its higher end cameras completely irrelevant. I'm sure they could have hit 1/16000 with its electronic nature without much of a price increase. The fastest shutter speed is a "mere" 1/4000, which is fine for what it is, but there is a bit of a contrast with faster cameras. Sometimes it is right, sometimes you just wish it would do as it is told, if only so you can get an idea of how to adjust the settings. It can be stubborn in the dark when it can't focus on what you are aiming at - in other words, it relies on its own computer focusing instead of trusting the user. This said, there are some justifiable criticisms. but I have gotten some decent images outside after midnight. I've read criticisms of the low light performance, and it can be hard to tweak. meone is looking for an all around, best bang for the buck camera for daily use, family portraits/life moments, compact carry, and even artistic photography within an affordable price range, the a6000 is probably what they are looking for. That said (part II), it is not perfect and the rating given is for its placement in the camera hierarchy. It has very much lived up to and surpassed my expectations in most ways. That said, this is the camera I chose after much research. Secondly, this is my first camera of any competitive caliber. Most of my understanding of photography came from researching the camera I wanted to buy. I want to be blunt about a couple of things to start.
